Our goal at CARVER is to place a book in each child’s hand in order to ignite a LOVE FOR READING. This year our school has partnered with Goodwill Books 4 Kids. This past semester Carver Staff successfully completed the task of shelving 2,750 books in order to receive books for our students. The books were distributed to students before the spring break. The staff would like to welcome you to participate as well. Please consider helping us in our continued effort to place a book in our students’ hand. For more information please see Ms. Stewart. Please keep a look out for our next trip in the Carver Newsletter.

This morning students and the entire staff participated in our first Carver C.A.R.E.S. initiative. C.A.R.E.S. stands for Caring, Accountable, Respectful, Extraordinary, & Safe. This is a building wide practice to establish rules and expectations for the entire school to follow so that we are all on the same page in what we do. The students did a wonderful job practicing these skills and we plan to continue these walks weekly in order to establish these building wide expectations and routines.

Click the following link to download a copy of these rituals and routines: Carver C.A.R.E.S.

Check out the photo gallery below to see our initiative in action.
