Ms. Johnston's fifth grade students have been working on writing stories about the fog this past week. We used a foggy morning to help us write a narrative story. One morning last week, we went outside and silently used our senses to take notes about what we saw, felt, heard, and touched. From these initial notes, we created narrative stories. The only requirement for the stories was that the fog be included somehow in each one. Students used the writing process model (prewriting, drafting, revising, editing & publishing) to work through their stories last week.
