Fog Stories


Ms. Johnston's fifth grade students have been working on writing stories about the fog this past week. We used a foggy morning to help us write a narrative story. One morning last week, we went outside and silently used our senses to take notes about what we saw, felt, heard, and touched. From these initial notes, we created narrative stories. The only requirement for the stories was that the fog be included somehow in each one. Students used the writing process model (prewriting, drafting, revising, editing & publishing) to work through their stories last week.

You can check out the finished products outside Ms. Johnston's door. We also recorded the students reciting their own stories outside in the fog this morning. The QR codes above each of their stories will take you to links on YouTube where you will be able to view their stories.
